Description
A highly elegant garment originating from the military world, still in use as formal attire. In Venice, it was worn by nobles of both sexes for the “liston,” the stroll in Piazza San Marco, or to attend theatrical performances, hence the name “nobilomo.” Comprised of a full circle crafted with raw cut edges, it features a velvet collar closed at the front with a pair of burnished or silver metal clasps, depicting a lion’s head.

Fabric
The delicate hand of this fabric contrasts with its excellent resistance. It is made with a broken twill weave, the most commonly used weave among compact woolen fabrics. Composed of 80% pure virgin wool and the remaining 20% polyamide (a fiber capable of providing elasticity and shine to the fabric), it is finished with raw edges and treated with a water-repellent finish. The weight per linear meter is 610 grams.
